What's the role about? Lead the technical strategy and product architecture while remaining actively involved in hands-on development. This role is responsible for evolving the platform from an estimation-based model into a data-driven product, with a strong focus on data ingestion pipelines, AI integration, and scalable multi-tenant architecture.
What do we require from you?
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with backend development and software architecture
- Strong Python skills for data processing, API development, and pipeline building
- Extensive experience building data ingestion pipelines that normalize data from external systems
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills (designing normalized schemas for heterogeneous financial data)
- Experience with external financial API integrations — ideally Plaid, Codat, or Railz (OAuth flows, webhooks, data normalization)
- Proven ability to design and implement multi-tenant architectures with tenant isolation
- Strong understanding of AI/LLMs and RAG pipelines connecting structured data to LLMs (Azure OpenAI a plus)
- Solid experience with Azure (Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, App Services / Functions)
- Experience building data-heavy products in fintech, healthcare, or analytics
- Ability to make key technical decisions for scalable systems while still contributing as an individual contributor
- Strong financial literacy (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, EBITDA, basic valuation concepts)
- Advanced English level
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience handling medical/patient data under HIPAA compliance (USA)
- PHIPA familiarity
- Previous experience building valuation, credit-scoring, or financial-diagnostic tools
- Azure Data Factory or Synapse experience
- Startup or MVP-stage build experience
